Ninh Binh
Ninh Binh Day 1
Hanoi to Ninh Binh
Ninh Binh is the city located in south of Hanoi.
I arrived in Hanoi at the night in 13th Feb (I saw many Vietnamese passengers going back their hometown for Tet Holiday btw) and me and my girlfriend moved to Ninh Binh in the next day.
I heard it takes around 2 hours to go to Ninh Binh but the road was crowded due to holiday season and we took around 2.5 hours.

After we checked in the hotel, we walked around the river and buy some coffee and milk tea. My first impression here is like Hoi An because we can see lanterns and small boats. Also I felt they are making this place to a landmark of Ninh Binh maybe?

Mua Cave
Ninh Binh has unique geography where we can find many sharp hills (jagged limestone hills). And Mua Cave is one of the famous place we can see the unique geography.
Mua Cave (Hang Múa) in Ninh Binh, Vietnam, was formed over millions of years by natural geological processes, primarily the erosion of limestone bedrock. Rainwater combined with atmospheric carbon dioxide created a weak acid that slowly dissolved the limestone joints and fractures, shaping the cave and surrounding karst landscape.
I was curious the history of Mua Cave but found out that it's built by tourism purpose. Also I remember Halong bay also has same geography but Ninh Binh became a land after millions of years.
We can go to the top of the hill and we tried but...it was soo hard way.

It took around 30 mins to go top but I feel accomplishment after climbing the top was so special.
We found some goats when we go down. They are called "Nui De" which means mountain goat. I was surprised we eat them (and I found many nui de restaurant actually).

Night Market
At night, we went to night market around the river. It absolutely looks like Hoi An lol. But they have nice temples and we could go inside.

Ninh Binh Day 2
Trang An
Trang An is UNESCO-recognized place in Ninh Binh and we took amazing photos there.
Unfortunately we didn't have enough time but they have three types of tours which take around 3 hours. We must try next time!
